SAVE THE DATE – Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Conference: Aggregating Volume in the North
A recent report by The Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee warned that to hit the target of building 300,000 new homes a year by mid-2020s, modern methods of construction (MMC) must be embraced to help make up the shortfall that traditional building methods will likely suffer.
MMC has the potential to radically speed up the housing supply, particularly offsite construction; as well as the opportunities this brings to the northern housing markets, there are challenges to be overcome before MMC can be fully embedded. We would like to invite you to our first MMC event in collaboration with Northern Housing Consortium, where delegates will have the opportunity to hear from expert speakers in the field, including from across government departments to discuss the opportunities that MMC brings, and how the sector can overcome the barriers and work together to aggregate MMC volume in the North, chaired by Paul Beardmore, Independent Housing Consultant.
